Creation Cycle: The Story of All Things
What are humans?
Lesson 5 Introduction
“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” I remember hearing that on the playground as a kid. Seems like yesterday. But the truth is, as the Rich Mullins song teaches us, that “we are not as strong as we think we are.”
Maybe we do not want to admit to our vulnerability or that of others because we don’t want to be responsible for how our words and actions injure others, or how theirs injure us. Here’s the deal: wise parents will teach kids to understand this lesson, because there is no truth more foundational to the Christian worldview than that humans are deeply vulnerable and immensely valuable.
