Creation Cycle: The Story of All Things

What is the result of
all humans disobeying God?

Lesson 15 Introduction

Human anger is often a problem, to say the least. Human judgment is one of the great evils in the world. We judge people wrongly, meaning, we make the wrong judgment. We also judge people hypocritically, meaning we judge them for things of which we, too, are guilty. Too often, our anger and judgment lead us to sin. We judge one another, and we even judge our own children as they fall short of our standards, or fail to prop up our egos as good parents.

This is never the case with God. God’s judgment is always righteous and it is always and only directed against sin. Because God is wrathful, because he is judge, we should FEAR God. On the other hand, since he is also good and wise, we can fear him without being frightened by him. Instead, we can take heart as we look to Jesus, whose special act of love and courage has absorbed God’s judgment on our behalf.
