Creation Cycle: The Story of All Things

What happened when Adam and Eve
disobeyed God?

Lesson 11 Introduction

As Scripture makes clear, our prime motivation for obedience is the Glory of God and fellowship with him and the joy of righteous living. Nonetheless, we ought not be dismissive of the motivation that can be provided by consequences. After all, it’s not for nothing that the Bible reminds us time and time again that sin carries consequences both for ourselves and for all of those who are connected to us, either in our families or our churches. There’s no such thing as inconsequential sin, but thank God the ultimate consequence has been borne in full by Christ so that we can enjoy friendship with God through him. If you belong to Jesus, give thanks for his faithfulness on the Cross and help your kids to do the same!
