Abraham Cycle: The Story of Faith
Who is Abraham?
Lesson 1 Introduction
With Abraham, God begins to set things back in order. This time, God doesn’t speak a word of command, but instead speaks a word of promise. Abraham will be the father of multitudes, the father of all of those who are faithful to God. Of course, Abraham can scarcely comprehend the magnitude of the promise, but its magnificence AND its truth are already confirmed to us who live on this side of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Abraham serves as a new kind of covenant head. From our first parent, Adam, we receive a Problem, but from Abraham, we inherit a Promise. Those who trust Jesus are the true children of Abraham.
